Within the WAN Trading ecosystem, Dr. Dough leads the food manufacturing line and nutritional product formulation. It focuses specifically on gluten-free products, special diets, and anti-malnutrition formulas, utilizing local Sudanese raw materials.
We operate at the intersection of food science, public health, and humanitarian response to provide safe, affordable, and scientifically-grounded nutritional solutions.

Dr. Dough is the food manufacturing and therapeutic nutrition unit of WAN Trading, specializing in the development of gluten-free products and nutritional solutions tailored for special needs and combating malnutrition.
Dr. Dough leads the manufacturing and formulation of food products, relying on local Sudanese raw materials to provide safe, scientifically-researched nutritional solutions suitable for both commercial and humanitarian use.
This “Gap” represents the critical challenges in nutrition and food production facing Sudan and the world today. Globally, wheat and other staples often cause health issues or lack full nutritional value, highlighting the need for functional, safe, and nutrient-rich food alternatives. In Sudan, malnutrition and limited access to high-quality grains create a real food security gap, despite the country’s rich agricultural potential. Dr. Dough aims to bridge this gap by:

Our History
Dr. Dough’s journey began at Al-Arda Bakery as the first initiative in Sudan to produce gluten-free bread, laying the foundation for food solutions based on scientific research.
Dr. Dough expanded through a partnership with Alia Hospital to integrate medical expertise, resulting in the establishment of a reference clinic for multi-dietary needs.
We are launching a new production line in River Nile State to produce targeted malnutrition formulas, enhancing food security.
